Radial processing
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003031
The application of algorithms to well log data to account for the radial distribution of formation properties away from the borehole wall. This processing corrects for the effects of mud invasion and varying depths of investigation from different logging tools, providing a more accurate representation of the undisturbed formation. It often involves deconvolution or inversion techniques to resolve radial variations.
