Radial resolution
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003033
The ability of a well logging tool to distinguish between different formation properties at varying distances radially outward from the borehole. A tool with high radial resolution can differentiate thin invaded zones from the undisturbed formation, providing more precise measurements of fluid saturations and rock characteristics. This is a key factor in evaluating reservoir heterogeneity.
