Scattergram
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003271
A two-dimensional plot that displays the values of two variables for a set of data, with each point representing a single observation. In petrophysics, scattergrams, or crossplots, are used to analyze relationships between different well log measurements, such as plotting neutron porosity against bulk density. The patterns, trends, and clusters of points on the plot reveal information about lithology, porosity, and the presence of hydrocarbons.
