Seawater mud

A drilling fluid prepared using natural seawater as its base fluid, often supplemented with polymers and weighting agents. It is used in offshore drilling operations where seawater is readily available and cost-effective. This mud type provides inhibition against reactive shales due to its inherent salt content.
