TEOR
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003794
Thermal Enhanced Oil Recovery, a set of methods that introduce heat into a reservoir to reduce the viscosity of heavy oil and bitumen, thereby improving its mobility and facilitating production. These techniques include steam injection (cyclic steam stimulation, steamflooding) and in-situ combustion. TEOR is widely applied in heavy oil fields globally, accounting for a substantial portion of heavy oil production.
