High-temperature completions
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001834
Completion equipment and designs for wells with high downhole temperature, such as steam-injected heavy oil wells and deep hot gas wells. They rely on heat-resistant seals, packers, cement and casing steel, and thermal wells also use insulated tubulars. Steam is injected into cyclic steam wells at 300 to 340 degrees Celsius, which is 572 to 644 degrees Fahrenheit.
