Thermal neutron absorber
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003807
A material or element that readily absorbs thermal neutrons, which are neutrons that have reached thermal equilibrium with their surroundings. These absorbers are used in nuclear logging tools to control the neutron flux or to enhance the sensitivity to specific elements.
