Transition flow

A flow regime in a wellbore or pipeline that exists between laminar flow and turbulent flow, characterized by unsteady and unpredictable fluid movement. In this regime, fluid particles exhibit both orderly and chaotic motion. The Reynolds number for transition flow typically ranges from 2,000 to 4,000.
