Undrained test
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003987
A laboratory test conducted on a rock or soil sample where no fluid is allowed to enter or exit the sample during the application of stress. This condition simulates rapid loading scenarios in the subsurface, such as during drilling or hydraulic fracturing. Undrained tests are used to determine the short-term strength and deformation characteristics of reservoir rocks.
