Virgin zone

The undisturbed portion of a reservoir formation located beyond the invaded zone, where the original formation fluids and pressures remain unaltered by drilling operations. This region represents the true reservoir conditions before any fluid invasion from the drilling mud. Measurements taken in the virgin zone provide the most accurate data for reservoir characterization.
