Altered zone
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000102
A region of rock around a wellbore where the original petrophysical properties have been changed by drilling fluid invasion or other drilling-induced effects. This zone can have different porosity, permeability, and fluid saturation compared to the undisturbed formation.
