Wait on cement (WOC)

A period of time during drilling operations when work is suspended to allow freshly placed cement to cure and develop sufficient compressive strength. This waiting period is necessary before drilling can resume through the cemented section or applying pressure to the casing. The duration of WOC is determined by cement type, temperature, and well conditions.
