The process of flowing a newly completed or stimulated well to remove drilling fluids, completion fluids, formation debris, and other contaminants from the wellbore and near-wellbore region. This operation aims to establish stable production and achieve the well's optimal flow potential. It is often performed after fracturing or acidizing treatments.
