Wellbore orientation
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004150
The direction of a well's trajectory in three-dimensional space, described by its inclination and azimuth at any given depth. Inclination is the angle of deviation from a true vertical line, while azimuth is the compass direction of the well path relative to geographic or magnetic north. These parameters are continuously monitored during directional drilling using measurement while drilling (MWD) survey tools.
