Directional survey
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001107
A series of measurements taken at intervals along a wellbore to determine its precise trajectory from the surface to total depth. These surveys record the inclination (deviation from vertical) and azimuth (direction relative to north) of the wellbore. The data is used to guide drilling operations and to accurately map the well's path within the subsurface.
