Directional variograms
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001108
Geostatistical tools used to quantify the spatial continuity or correlation of a reservoir property, such as porosity or permeability, in specific directions. These variograms reveal anisotropy, indicating that the property varies differently along different orientations within the reservoir. They are calculated by analyzing the squared differences between data points separated by a given distance and direction.
