Complementary MOS
Term · Semiconductors · MLC-T-SEM-000066
A semiconductor technology that uses both p-type and n-type metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs) in a complementary fashion. In CMOS circuits, one type of transistor is always off when the other is on, leading to very low static power consumption. This characteristic makes CMOS the dominant technology for fabricating digital integrated circuits.
