Well
Term · Semiconductors · MLC-T-SEM-000358
A region within a semiconductor substrate that has been selectively doped with impurities of a specific conductivity type, opposite to that of the substrate. Wells are fundamental structures in CMOS technology, forming the body for transistors. An N-well is doped with n-type impurities, while a P-well is doped with p-type impurities.
