Delamination

Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000094

The separation of layers within a printed part, occurring when adhesion between successive layers is insufficient. This defect can be caused by factors such as improper temperature control, insufficient curing, or contamination between layers. Delamination compromises the structural integrity and mechanical properties of the final additive manufactured component.
