Absolute bioavailability
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000048
The fraction of an administered dose of an unchanged drug that reaches the systemic circulation following administration by any route other than intravenous. It is determined by comparing the area under the plasma concentration-time curve (AUC) after extravascular administration to the AUC after intravenous administration. This value is expressed as a percentage or a fraction between 0 and 1.
