Adiabatic electron transfer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000250
An electron transfer process where the electronic state of the system changes smoothly and continuously along the reaction coordinate, without any electronic transitions to other states. This implies that the electronic coupling between the donor and acceptor is strong. The probability of electron transfer is high in such a process.
