Diabatic electron transfer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003119
An electron transfer process where the electronic state of the system changes during the reaction, meaning the reactants and products lie on different potential energy surfaces. This occurs when the electronic coupling between the initial and final states is weak. The probability of such a transition is described by Fermi's Golden Rule.
