Alpha relaxation peak
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000446
The highest temperature relaxation peak observed in dynamic mechanical analysis of polymers, typically associated with the glass transition. This peak corresponds to large-scale cooperative movements of polymer chain segments. It is distinct from secondary relaxation peaks, such as beta or gamma relaxations, which occur at lower temperatures.
