Amphibian metamorphosis assay
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000515
A standardized ecotoxicological test used to evaluate the potential of chemical substances to disrupt the endocrine system in amphibians. This assay measures the effects of chemical exposure on the developmental processes of amphibian larvae, particularly their metamorphosis into adult forms. The assay is often conducted using Xenopus laevis tadpoles.
