Anti-idiotypic antibody
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000689
An antibody that recognizes and binds to the unique antigen-binding site (idiotype) of another antibody. This interaction can modulate the immune response by mimicking the original antigen or by regulating the activity of the first antibody. Anti-idiotypic antibodies are explored in vaccine development and cancer immunotherapy.
