Idiotype
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005582
The unique set of antigenic determinants present on the variable regions of an antibody molecule or T-cell receptor. These determinants are formed by the specific amino acid sequences in the antigen-binding sites. Each idiotype is specific to a particular antibody or T-cell receptor and can itself be recognized by other antibodies, known as anti-idiotypic antibodies.
