Blocking antibody

An antibody that binds to a specific antigen and prevents it from interacting with its normal receptor or ligand, thereby inhibiting a biological process. These antibodies can neutralize toxins, viruses, or cellular signaling molecules. They are used therapeutically to modulate immune responses or block disease pathways.
