Antidepressant

A class of psychoactive medications used to alleviate symptoms of depression and other mood disorders. These drugs primarily act by modulating the levels or activity of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine in the brain. Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are a common type of antidepressant.
