Anticyclone

A large-scale atmospheric circulation system characterized by descending air and high atmospheric pressure at its center. Air within an anticyclone flows outwards from the center and rotates clockwise in the Northern Hemisphere and counter-clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere. These systems are associated with stable weather conditions, clear skies, and light winds.
