Before mass analysis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001173
The total ion current measured before mass analysis: the combined current of all ions of one sign, usually positive, entering the instrument before they are separated by mass-to-charge ratio. It contrasts with the total ion current after mass analysis, which is the combined current of the separated ions that contribute to the recorded spectrum.
