Direct coulometry at controlled current

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003250

A coulometric method where the total quantity of electricity passed through an electrochemical cell is measured while maintaining a constant current. The reaction proceeds until the analyte is completely consumed, and the time required is recorded. This technique is used for quantitative analysis, with the amount of analyte directly proportional to the total charge passed, according to Faraday's laws.
