Beam current

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001163

The total electric current carried by a beam of charged particles, such as electrons or ions, in an analytical instrument. This parameter is a measure of the number of charged particles per unit time passing a given point in the beam path. It is typically measured in amperes (A) or microamperes (µA).
