Bioresorbable
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001320
Describing a material that can be completely absorbed and eliminated by a biological system over time, without leaving permanent residues. This process involves the breakdown of the material into soluble components that are then metabolized or excreted. Polylactic acid is a common bioresorbable polymer used in medical applications.
