Bioresorption
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001321
The process by which a material, typically an implant, is gradually broken down and assimilated or eliminated by the surrounding biological tissue. This involves a combination of chemical degradation and cellular activity. The rate of bioresorption is influenced by the material's composition and the physiological environment.
