Blaze-angle
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001373
The specific angle of the grooves on a diffraction grating relative to the grating's surface, designed to concentrate the diffracted light into a particular order and wavelength range. By shaping the grooves, the grating's efficiency for a desired wavelength is maximized. A grating is specified by its blaze wavelength in a particular spectral order for a given angle of incidence.
