Bursa

A small, fluid-filled sac lined with synovial membrane, found in the body where tissues rub against each other. These sacs act as cushions between bones, tendons, muscles, and skin, reducing friction during movement. Bursae are present near joints such as the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee.
