Catalyst-transfer polymerization
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001711
A polymerization mechanism where a metal catalyst, after mediating a coupling reaction, remains associated with the growing polymer chain end and is subsequently transferred to the next monomer. This process enables the controlled synthesis of conjugated polymers with high precision. It is often employed in the synthesis of materials for organic electronics.
