Chiral mobile phase
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002002
A liquid or supercritical fluid used in chromatography that contains a chiral selector, enabling the separation of enantiomers. The chiral selector in the mobile phase interacts selectively with the enantiomers of the analyte, forming transient diastereomeric complexes. These complexes then exhibit different affinities for the stationary phase, leading to their separation.
