Circulation of substances

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002084

The movement of xenobiotic substances through the environment, carried by air currents, river flow, sediment transport and similar processes, which spreads them between air, water, soil and sediment. It governs where a pollutant ends up after release, and it is distinct from transport of a compound within an organism, such as its distribution in the blood.
