Compatible polymer blend
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002302
An immiscible polymer blend that nonetheless shows macroscopically uniform physical properties, usually because interactions between the components, or added compatibilizers, give a fine phase structure with good adhesion across the interfaces. Compatibility is thus a practical property judged from behaviour, whereas miscibility is thermodynamic and shows up as a single glass transition temperature.
