Concentration depolarization
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002359
The reduction in the degree of polarization of emitted fluorescence as the concentration of the fluorophore increases. This effect arises from energy transfer between excited and unexcited fluorophore molecules, leading to emission from molecules that have undergone depolarization. It is a phenomenon observed in fluorescence spectroscopy.
