Configurational unit
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002409
A constitutional unit in a polymer chain that possesses at least one site of stereoisomerism, such as a chiral center or a double bond with cis/trans isomerism. The specific spatial arrangement of atoms within this unit defines its configuration. It is the fundamental element used to describe the stereochemistry of a polymer.
