Conformer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002421
A specific spatial arrangement of atoms in a molecule that can be interconverted with other such arrangements by rotation about single bonds. These distinct forms represent energy minima on the potential energy surface of the molecule. Different conformers can exhibit varying physical and chemical properties.
