Conformational transition

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002420

A change in the spatial arrangement of atoms within a macromolecule that does not involve the breaking or formation of chemical bonds. This process alters the overall shape and properties of the polymer chain. Such transitions can be induced by changes in temperature, pH, or solvent composition.
