Conformational entropy

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002417

The entropy associated with the number of possible conformations a polymer chain can adopt. A higher conformational entropy indicates a greater degree of disorder or randomness in the polymer's spatial arrangement. This quantity is a key factor in determining the flexibility and elasticity of polymeric materials.
