Congenital branchial cyst
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002431
A fluid-filled sac that develops in the neck or just below the collarbone, resulting from incomplete obliteration of the branchial clefts during embryonic development. These cysts are lined with epithelial tissue and are present at birth, though they may not become noticeable until later in life. They are a type of congenital malformation.
