Constitutional heterogeneity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002469
The variation in constitution from one macromolecule to another in a polymer whose molecules all have the same elemental composition, for example a mixture of linear and branched chains, or a statistical copolymer made of two isomeric units. It differs from compositional heterogeneity, where the elemental composition itself varies between molecules.
