Constitution

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002468

The description of the sequence of atoms and the types of bonds connecting them in a molecule. It defines which atoms are bonded to which other atoms and whether these bonds are single, double, or triple. This fundamental aspect of molecular structure distinguishes constitutional isomers from each other.
