Compositional heterogeneity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002337
The variation in the chemical composition of polymer chains within a sample, or along the length of a single polymer chain. This can arise from differences in monomer reactivity ratios during copolymerization or from variations in reaction conditions. It influences the physical and mechanical properties of the resulting polymer material.
