Compositional depth profile

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002336

A measurement of the elemental or molecular composition of a material as a function of its depth below the surface. This technique involves sequentially removing layers of material and analyzing the exposed surface at each step. It provides information about the distribution of constituents within thin films or surface layers, often measured in nanometers or micrometers.
